On June 1st, our windproof road barriers marked the route of the Red Bull showrun at the Colosseum, where a Formula 1 car paid tribute to the historic cycling competition. Our anchoring system allowed for custom configurations, integrating perfectly with the environment.
Tekcnoplast had the honour of participating in an extraordinary event that united the world of motorsport with the prestigious Giro d’Italia. On Sunday, 1st June, our wind-resistant road barriers were chosen to delineate and secure the route of the spectacular showrun organised by Red Bull at the Colosseum, where a special Formula 1 car paid homage to the historic Italian cycling competition.
Why were Tekcnoplast barriers chosen for the Red Bull showrun?
When it comes to high-profile events like this, every detail must be perfected. The safety of spectators and drivers is paramount, but aesthetics and practicality also play a crucial role.
Our male-female interlocking anchoring system allowed the organisers to create a custom route around the iconic Roman monument. Thanks to this unique feature, it was possible to create both linear and curved configurations, perfectly adapting to the needs of the temporary track. It’s easy to imagine how important flexibility is when working in a historic area of such significance, where every element must harmoniously blend with the surrounding environment.
The strength and safety of our barriers represented the second determining factor for this collaboration. Made of high-quality non-toxic polyethylene, they are extremely resistant to impacts and weather conditions.
Seeing our road barriers frame an event that celebrates two Italian excellences like the Giro d’Italia and the Colosseum fills us with pride.
