Tekcnoplast barriers at the Red Bull Showrun in Zagreb

On Sunday 27 September 2026, one of Zagreb's grand avenues, Ulica grada Vukovara, was transformed for an afternoon. City traffic gave way to the cars of the Red Bull Showrun, and the circuit was lined with Tekcnoplast polyethylene road barriers. For us this is an important milestone, as it confirms that our products are up to the standard of international motorsport events.

With the Showrun, Red Bull Racing takes the atmosphere of Formula 1 beyond the racetrack. For two hours, from 2pm to 4pm, the Croatian crowd enjoyed single-seater demonstrations, drifting, stunts and fan moments on an urban course closed to traffic. A show of this kind calls for solid, reliable course marking.

How our road barriers are made

Every barrier we produce is made using rotational moulding. The result is a structure of uniform thickness, with no welds or joints, that withstands wear even under heavy stress and after long periods outdoors.

At events like these, protecting drivers and spectators is our top priority. Reflectors can be fitted to both sides of each unit, which is invaluable when the light fades or visibility drops. Threaded caps let you ballast the barriers with water or sand in just a few minutes, and empty them just as quickly once the event is over.

Logistics have been designed to make your job easier, too. The barriers can be moved easily with a forklift, and stacking them cuts transport and storage volumes by up to 50%.
